Side-Effects

I've been using 1 Aleve and 2 Midol (or the generics thereof) as my go-to pain cocktail for years. It is therefore quite shocking to me that the following correlation only just revealed itself to me.
Possible TMI beyond the link:

So I may have mentioned, since I was in recovery in the hospital, I've had problems with diarrhea.
Well I started to notice, as I continued to reduce my usage of pain medication, that I had less and less of that problem. And then, when I finally was able to be free of pain medications for a couple of days, it stopped altogether.
I actually got full confirmation just yesterday. Not surprisingly, I had a migraine. I get those fairly frequently. So when I was certain that it was not going to ease away on its own, as sometimes happens for me (if I rest quietly and relax), I went ahead and took the above-mentioned "pain cocktail".
Everything was okay for a while. My migraine mostly went away, after an hour or so. And then, sure enough, I had to run to the bathroom.
Now I don't know if it's just me, which is entirely possible, or if this is a possibility for anybody. I do know, for me at least, the synergy of the two pain relievers seems to be what kills my migraines. And I would definitely rather suffer a little gastrointestinal disturbance than deal with a migraine. But it is worth noting for anyone else, that might suffer the same effects. I have to say that I'm not planning to stop using what I know works.
It's also worthy of note that I keep Imodium handy.

I know some people don't react as favorably to that as I do though. So a more natural and gentle solution, that I've also found helpful for the diarrhea, includes several forms of strong cheese. Cheddar is good (the sharper the better). And along that same line, blue cheese seems to be one of the best. The milder the cheese, the less effect it's likely to have. Cream cheese has negligible effect.

My sincere apologies to the lactose intolerant. I have no experience dealing with that myself. Though I would theorize that similar lactose free mold cultures would have similar effects.
Please ask someone who knows more than I, before trying it.
